About Hello Himalayas

Rooted in
the Himalayas.

Our journeys don't begin with an itinerary. They begin at home.

Rohru and the western Himalayas

Hello Himalayas was born in the mountain town of Rohru in Himachal Pradesh.

Long before we organised expeditions, these roads were our daily routes, these forests our playground, and these mountain passes part of our lives.

Today we invite travellers to experience the Himalayas through the eyes of people who genuinely belong here.

02Why Rohru

The Himalayas
beyond the postcards.

Most travellers know Shimla, Manali or Spiti. Few discover Rohru.

Hidden among cedar forests, apple orchards and glacier-fed rivers, Rohru is one of Himachal Pradesh's most authentic mountain regions.

It is the gateway to ancient villages, untouched valleys, high mountain passes, traditional Himachali culture and some of the finest off-road and trekking experiences in the Indian Himalayas.

This is where our story begins.

03What Makes Us Different

Built by mountain people,
not tour operators.

01

Himachal's First Dedicated 4×4 Adventure Track

Our professionally designed off-road terrain allows travellers to experience technical mountain driving, recovery techniques and extreme Himalayan trails in a safe and controlled environment.

02

Gateway to Legendary Treks

Rohru connects to some of the most spectacular trekking routes in the western Himalayas — Seven Lakes Trek, Chanshal Pass, Dodra Kwar and ancient shepherd trails that eventually connect Himachal with Uttarakhand.

03

Living Himalayan Culture

From the sacred traditions of Bondra Devta Temple to local festivals, village life, wooden architecture, home stays and authentic Himachali cuisine — every expedition is deeply connected with local communities.

04

Mountain Experts

Our team drives these roads year-round. Snow. River crossings. Monsoon. Remote valleys. High mountain passes. We don't simply guide expeditions — we understand the mountains because they are home.

04Our Playground

More than
mountains.

The Himalayas are not just beautiful landscapes. They are living ecosystems filled with stories, traditions, wildlife, remote villages and generations of mountain communities.

Every expedition combines adventure with culture, history and local experiences that cannot be found in guidebooks.

05Our Expeditions

Built for
explorers.

Small Groups

Every journey remains personal. Small groups create better experiences, safer expeditions and stronger connections.

Professionally Curated Routes

Every expedition is personally explored before guests arrive. Routes are continuously refined based on road conditions, seasons and local knowledge.

Premium 4×4 Expeditions

Purpose-built expedition vehicles designed for Himalayan terrain, with experienced mountain drivers who know every switchback.

Safety First

Altitude planning. Recovery equipment. Medical preparedness. Experienced expedition leaders. Adventure without compromising safety.

Every expedition supports local hotels, family-run home stays, cafés, mountain guides and village communities across Himachal and Ladakh.

Travelling with Hello Himalayas means your journey directly benefits the people who call these mountains home.
